On Monday 22nd April eight students visited the Times Headquarters in London to learn more about journalism in a professional environment. They had a chance to witness stories being gathered before being edited ready for print. Students were also fortunate to have a Q&A with the Chief Editor Tony Gallagher as well as participating in a digital conference. It sparked lots of enthusiasm with several students and others realised the vast career opportunities available to them.

One student, Lydia, said:

Visiting The Times was a fantastic opportunity for career insight and motivation - It was great fun, very memorable, and overall an exciting experience. We had the privilege of meeting leading figures in The Times’ office, which really opened our minds to the possibilities of a future in journalism, and we were able to observe future news headlines being discussed which was very surreal, not to mention stopping by famous landmarks of London which really enriched the whole trip.
