Promotion for Great Yarmouth Charter Academy Vice Principal

Darren Hollingsworth, our Vice Principal, has been promoted. Mr Hollingsworth has been successful in improving results and outcomes at our school - now be will taking over the leadership of Cromer Academy.

Our teaching teams would like to thank him for his hard work and dedication. This well- deserved promotion will be his first Principal role after completing the InspirationTrust’s Aspiring to Headship course.

Mr Hollingsworth said: “We have achieved incredible things at Great Yarmouth Charter Academy – from the school’s first Good Ofsted rating in a decade to record results. I will miss our pupils, families and colleagues, but I’m looking forward to this next step.”

Iain Mackintosh, Executive Principal at Great Yarmouth Charter Academy, said: “This is an incredible opportunity – and I can’t think of anyone that deserves it more. Mr Hollingsworth has worked tirelessly to help support our pupils and improve results.”

The school will be recruiting a new Vice Principal.
