On Tuesday 11th, Thursday 13th and Friday 14th February, pupils from Year 7 to Year 11 returned to the stage at Great Yarmouth Charter Academy for another magical performance of the family-favourite Disney’s Frozen Jr.

Following the success of We Will Rock You in 2023, and Grease in 2024, Charter is back for another year to wow audience members with their rendition of Disney’s Frozen Jr., complete with professional set, sound and lighting. The show was packed with popular musical numbers such as Let It Go and Do You Wanna Build A Snowman, performed by an extra-ordinary cast that sang, danced and acted the night away!

With many standout performances from young people at Great Yarmouth Charter Academy, everyone involved has lots to be proud of, and a real testament to the work both the students and staff put into the production! In support of the principal cast, students have taken to becoming backing singers, lighting designers and operators, sound and video technicians, stage managers, props & costume designers and front of house- they have triumphed in pulling together a truly magnificent show. For many, it would have been the first time involved in a performance of this magnitude and was a great experience for them.

Principal, Dean Rosembert said: “We’re so proud of all pupils who have taken part in the performances of Frozen this week. Not only is it a result of the wonderful performances by our students, but also of those who worked on set design, managed the backstage and supported front-of-house. The hard work and determination of the cast and crew has been inspiring”.

Students across Inspiration Trust schools have the opportunity to take part in performances, musicals and concerts. Other recent productions from across the trust include ‘Our House’ by Hewett Academy, Jane Austen College and Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form and ‘Fame’ by East Point Academy, with upcoming performances scheduled for secondary schools throughout the rest of this academic year. Please see individual school websites for more information about their upcoming performances.
