Mr Gosden Joins Great Yarmouth Charter Academy

We are proud to welcome Mr James Gosden as the new Principal at Great Yarmouth Charter Academy. Mr Gosden has previously worked across Norfolk, Essex and Suffolk, joining us after being Executive Headteacher at North Walsham High School and Millfield Primary School.

Mr Gosden said:

“Great Yarmouth Charter Academy has a long and proud history within the town and plays a prominent role in our community today. In my role I will ensure that we continue this and provide the very best educational experience to all our children to ensure they can be happy and successful and lead exceptional lives.

I am exceptionally proud to be the new Principal of Great Yarmouth Charter Academy, and I look forward to being part of this wonderful community for many years to come.”

Mr Gosden leaves North Walsham High School, having led it from an Ofsted report that “Requires Improvement” to “Good” with “Outstanding” Leadership and Management. He will bring his values-led leadership to Great Yarmouth Charter Academy, building the culture of the school to ensure all feel valued, welcomed and belong.

In the remaining weeks of this term Mr Gosden will be fully involved in all aspects of school life and in preparation for the new academic year in September.
