Great Yarmouth Charter Academy Builds on GCSE Success
BackGreat Yarmouth Charter Academy celebrates GCSE success today as students receive their results. 56% of students received grades of 9-4 in Maths and English.
Dean Rosembert, Principal at Great Yarmouth Charter Academy said:
“At Great Yarmouth Charter Academy we are so proud of our students, they are a credit to themselves and have worked incredibly hard to achieve their GCSE results. Many of our students are excited to take their next steps and will continue with us at Sir Isaac Newton East Sixth Form. Our staff have been helping them along the way, and all of us at the academy wish them every success in the future.”
Creating more opportunities for students with their ambitious curriculums, standout subjects this year were Art, Photography and French all showing impressive results with improvements. Through constant development and strong leadership in the school there is a mission to achieve the very best for students.
The academy is also delighted that many students receiving their results will go on to attend Sir Isaac Newton East Sixth Form, on the site of the secondary school, for their A-Level provision. Opening last September, the first cohort will be taking their A-Level exams in the upcoming academic year. The chance to take advantage of small class teaching, by subject specialists in their area, is a great opportunity for students. Built on the successes of Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form in Norwich, teaching and curriculum has been shared to give the same opportunities to more students on the East Coast.
To see the academy in action you can visit one of Great Yarmouth Charter Academy’s open events this Autumn. There is an Open Evening on Monday 25th September from 5 - 7 pm, or Open Mornings are available on Tuesday 26th or Wednesday 27th of September.
