Great Yarmouth Charter Academy, Great Yarmouth, is donating to Imagine Norfolk Together, Refreshingly Different, Better Together and Norfolk and Waveney Mind
BackA generous £70k donation has been made to the Inspiration Trust family of schools - which we are a part of - to help us to support our communities during the coronavirus crisis. Each of the 14 schools within the trust has received a donation of £5k.
The school is donating:
- £3,500 to the Salvation Army’s Foodbank
- £1,500 to Voluntary Norfolk’s Neighbourhoods That Work project
The team at Great Yarmouth Primary Academy said: "We’re proud that our school is able to share this money between two incredibly important local organisations - the Salvation Army's Foodbank and Voluntary Norfolk's Neighbourhoods That Work project. During this difficult time, we hope the money will help to feed local families and support the voluntary sector support services in our area.”
Voluntary Norfolk’s Neighbourhoods That Work project builds community resilience and community cohesion.
Daniel Norgrove, Community Development Worker at Voluntary Norfolk, said: “Our team were incredibly moved by the appreciation the school has shown for their work, and we are planning to put the money towards enjoyable community events for the local area.”
